Resultatet
af et charity party
CMF Danmarks charity party d. 28. maj '05 lokkede omkring 60
mennesker til at feste og støtte en god sag. "Drik
dig stiv og red et liv" var et af de tillokkende slogans,
der prægede baren. Dette inspirerede flere af gæsterne
til at støtte den gode sag - hvilket også kunne
høres i karaoke-loungen.
Efter festen kunne vi sende næsten 6000 kr. til Filippinerne,
som vi opfordrede Lucy fra Cebu Missionary Foundation til at
anvende, hvor hun mente, de ville gøre mest gavn.
Her er, hvad vi fik retur fra hende:

Wow that is great ... What an awesome job you guys are doing
... thanks so much and we really do appreciate your time and
effort for the children here ... we are planning on using the
funds to put a young girl that is living at Pier 4 through college
... this is her only opportunity to get out of the area and
poverty trap that she is in ... she wants to become a nurse
... you may remember the family ... do you remember Francis
Maga the young boy that had the TB wound at Pier 4 and the mother
that was not very cooperative?! She has 10 children ... they
don't always eat every day?! Well her eldest daughter Emilita
came to us crying because she really really really wants to
go to College ... this is what we will put the funds towards.
Thanks guys you are really making a difference in a persons
life ...just imagine that that fund raiser can really impact
someone so dramatically ?!!!

support they will end up on the streets with little to no hope
